Was really hoping that anyone on here could give me a few ideas on anything as it would be so much appreciated..!!

Look forward to hearng from you guys (hopefully)

Hi, we've just booked our Route 66 adventure for September next year and went through https://www.americaasyoulikeit.com and would heartily recommend them!  We are spending 14 nights 'on the road' and then flying from LA for 2 nights in San Francisco.  Total cost for 2 including  SUV for first part of the journey and convertible Mustang for the second half, with two drivers, all accommodation, taxes etc, came to £1990 per person.  There is a drop off charge for the car of $250 plus taxes, but this was cheaper than through other agents, as charge was $500 plus taxes.

Cath, the travel agent we dealt with, sent us a detailed breakdown of each journey, including points of interest along the way and she tailored the holiday to suit us, as we opted for an extra night here and there and tacked on the SF bit.

There are masses of internet sites on other things to see en route - you just need to plan it well.  We've broken down the route between each stop over and just googled places of interest to stop on the way.

Hope  you get sorted Laugh!!

Adelina--You have a lot of choices.  What time of year are you planning to do this?  To actually see (not just drive) the road will take two weeks.  If you have a lesser amount of time, you might want to just sample a section.

Other threads here, and linked websites, have a wealth of information.
