Well this forum was nice while it lasted…….too bad so many crazies need blanket us with their crap.
This is a forum to talk about the Mother Road, Route 66 what to see where to stay and how many miles a day should I drive…..
How much is fuel? What is the average price for lodging? Should I take 14 or 21 days to drive the whole route????
Motorcycle or Mustang???? Which day trips should I take off the route, Hoover Dam, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley or Four Corners?
We don’t want to hear about your software problems, don’t want to buy Lyrica, don’t need a fake passport and don’t care you can’t connect to the router unless you are on top of it!!!!!
Steve Bellamy just shut down this forum because the josephgalvans, the nenci’s and the johntimbers just fucked the whole thing up!!!!!!!!!

Hi Frank - I really feel your frustration. I can only apologize for how bad this issue became over the last six weeks.
I've now cleaned up the forum and will make sure to give more time for checking in. In the eight years since I first made the site this is the longest period where I've not checked in and was horrified when I saw the state of things today.
Please accept my apologies - I'll do my best to ensure it won't ever get out of hand like that again. If in the future you think I've missed something feel free to email me (contact details are at the top of the website).
I've also now pinned a post to the top of the forum with more details.
Steve

Drove Route 66 in August 2007 - hope to do it again one day in the not too distant future.

About Driving Route 66

What started as a record of my personal Route 66 experience has grown into an active community of Route 66 veterans and newcomers alike. This website relies entirely on the experiences of its users so please feel free to recommend your own personal favourites.

Every Route 66 road trip is unique, and this site is in no way intended to be a definitive guide to the old road. However, I sincerely hope it offers a starting point to anyone planning their own Route 66 vacation.
