Hi everyone - first time post!

We will be in the states next July. As part of a wider road trip we want to do a stretch on Route 66 and have identified Selligman to Kingman. Any tips gratefully received. How long does it take? Is Route 66 well signposted from I40?

We plan on spending the night in Kingman. Next morning we are considering continuing on Route 66. Can we easily rejoin the I40 after Oatman?

Thanks in advance for all responses

Hi Fulham, welcome to the forum. The ride from Seligman to Kingman is approx 1 hour 30 minutes if you drive straight through. However you will want to allow some time to stop along the way. Maybe a short stop in Truxton, and a longer stop in Hackberry. If I remember correctly it took us approx. 3 hours, but we lingered in Hackberry a bit longer. Leaving Oatman you can take Route 66 through Topock then pick up I-40. That should take you approx. 45 minutes. Enjoy your trip, and be prepared as the weather will be quite warm in July.

Also, you should allow some time while in Seligman. There are quite a few places there you will probably want to visit.

Can highly recommend The El Trovatore in Kingman, Sam the owner is a wealth of knowledge on the area and the rooms are themed
