Can anyone help me understand how i can really use the maps https://www.drivingroute66.com.....e-66-maps/ ?
Is there any way to go from these maps to a practical GPS solution that will provide driving directions as i go along?
I can figure out how to get the KML files and open them in iPhone apps like Galileo or Maps.me
and it seems these apps can then show the route on a map as you go along. This is certainly a great help, but it requires you to keep your eyes on the screen a lot which is not exactly ideal in traffic...
Is there any solutions that will actually lead to real turn by turn directions?
Has anyone tried to take the KML files and put them through something like RouteConverter to create GPX files and upload these on a real GPS device? It seems that in theory that should work, but it would be nice to know before i run out and spend money on a GPS device...

do hope you get an answer, I think apart from doing a rough plot on google maps which we are hoping to view off line on my partner's phone that the navigation might be me clutching Jerry's EZ66 Guide as pillion and shouting instructions failing hands and gesturing in his periphery vision!!!
