What a great blog my friend. Very happy to see the trip was a success. The lady at the gift shop in Adrain, Texas was probably Fran Houser. She was the previous owner of the diner next door. She is a fine lady.

GReat Blog - I am one of these long-term planners - ever since my teens, I want to do the Route 66, but it looks like we might be able to get around to it in 10 years time . . . long-term planners as I said.

But already I am looking for inspirations to do along the way. Like a day on the back of a Harley, or an old '59 chevi..... Maybe even a horse back cattle drive (as we are farmers)

We are also extending our trip route 66 from NY to San Fransico back around the south via Georia, Nashville and the likes.... will be almost 2 month trip we guess.

So all info I can gather will help me along the way.....

Thanks

To road trip, the more that I know about is how to choose a good vehicle and take a charger. The vehicle to me is Jeep. Since there will be more space for us to bring other things. The another necessary tool for us is bestek 300w power inverter. This a good charger for me to charge camera battery and iPhone. The way for me to handle this charger is to connect with car cigarette lighter charger outlet. If you want to learn more details about this charger, you can search bestekmall on Google. Hope this point is useful to you.

About Driving Route 66

What started as a record of my personal Route 66 experience has grown into an active community of Route 66 veterans and newcomers alike. This website relies entirely on the experiences of its users so please feel free to recommend your own personal favourites.

Every Route 66 road trip is unique, and this site is in no way intended to be a definitive guide to the old road. However, I sincerely hope it offers a starting point to anyone planning their own Route 66 vacation.
